Dian knew that the memories in his head were even less reliable than the visions of the future Kodai saw. Although those visions were cruel and highly deceptive, and might even be designed to lead him in a particular direction,
the memories in Dian's head were hardly any better. Reality could well be far more complicated.
Because this was real.
Dian closed his eyes and thought for a moment. In truth, the Time Ripple's power to foresee the future was not as miraculous as it seemed... It apparently only revealed one possibility, and making that possibility a reality still required personal effort.
If Kodai had possessed no ability of his own, he could never have built a corporation that dominated Crown City and even extended its influence into the surrounding areas.
He had even used his ability to pioneer an emerging Pokémon sport—Pokémon Soccer.
The Time Ripple probably only showed fragments of the future. How those fragments became reality still
