"Are you going to check out Luthor's place?" Batman asked.
"Not for now." Superman shook his head. "Our top priority is Apokolips. Let's keep hunting Steppenwolf first."
"Arthur and Diana are already using the Mother Boxes as bait, but so far, there's no sign of Steppenwolf biting."
"What about Victor?"
"Victor himself is one enormous trap. I've prepared a War Fortress for him," Batman said. "I'd actually prefer Steppenwolf to go after him first, but that's unlikely."
"Rather than passively waiting for Steppenwolf to make a move, I'd prefer to find him and eliminate him."
"That's what I think too, but building an interstellar spaceship will take some time. There are a lot of materials in the Kryptonian blueprints you provided that I don't have yet."
"I'll find a way to get them. Keep building in the meantime, and try to cut down the construction time."
"That one's unusable. Building a new ship might be easier than repairing it."
"Let me finish—have Victor merge with the ship. That way, we could at least get it flying," Batman said. "But the risk would be very high."
"That's too dangerous." Superman shook his head. "Exposure to space isn't a problem for me, but the others are a different story."
"That's why I said this approach was drastic." Batman also thought it was too risky. "If only we had a ready-made spaceship."
"We can only dream." Superman shook his head. "Where would we get that lucky—wait, Luthor might actually have one."
"Would you dare ride in Luthor's spaceship? He has the largest stockpile of kryptonite in the world. For all we know, his ship burns kryptonite for fuel."
"I think we could talk to him."
"You're kidding. The moment he sees you, he'll come up with a hundred plans to deal with you.
