The owner looked troubled, but the moment Batman slapped a small stack of bills onto the table, all his objections vanished.

"Why does something as heretical as an all-vegan burger even exist?" Roland asked, his eyelid twitching as he watched Damian eat his burger.

"I think it accommodates certain religious beliefs. It's also convenient for vegetarians," Batman said. He picked up a cup of cola and took a sip. "This is the life."

"It's already seven. Shouldn't you be heading out on patrol soon?" Roland asked.

"Why don't I go with you?" Damian suggested.

"Your injuries haven't fully healed. Stay home and rest," Batman said.

"And don't even think about sneaking out." Batman looked at the others around the table. "Anyone free to keep an eye on him for me?"

"I'm busy," Green Lantern said.

"I want to spend more time with my mom—but I can keep an eye on Damian here while I'm with her."

"Thanks, Barry, but let's not," Batman said, shaking his head.

"Mera and I are heading back to Amnesty Bay." As the only one who hadn't defeated Dream Demon Batman, Aquaman just wanted to go home as soon as possible.

"How about leaving Damian at our church? Someone can watch him," Roland said.

"Vetoed." Batman rejected Roland's suggestion outright.

"I've got plenty of time." Superman rubbed Damian's head.

"Then I'll leave him with you," Batman said quickly. "Thanks, Clark."

"No problem." Superman smiled. "I really like this kid."

After the meal, everyone headed home. Roland and Batman walked together, one preparing to go on patrol, the other taking a stroll to help his food settle.
