"Stop." Mister Terrific had already cracked the system imprisoning him. His T-Spheres surrounded Mister Mind and captured him in an instant.

"Maybe we should just kill him." Batman narrowed his eyes at the dangerous little worm.

"That's a bit much..." Mister Terrific said. "Let's just lock him up."

"That works." Batman nodded.

"Before we lock him up, I still have to ask: aren't I the smartest person in the world? Why did you go after Lex Luthor?" Roland demanded of Mister Mind.

"Uh, I don't like hair." Mister Mind came up with a thoroughly ridiculous excuse.

"...Are you kidding me? Then why did you call the others in?"

"Actually, they were all just there to make up the numbers for Lex Luthor. You showing up was an accident," Mister Mind explained unconvincingly.

"Forget it. I can't be bothered to ask anymore," Roland said. "As long as we know I'm the smartest person in the world."

"I don't care. I'm the third-smartest person in the world anyway." Mister Terrific's T-Spheres transformed into a mask, forming a T across his face.

"Let's go. I thought whoever had those spatial powers would be some real heavyweight. Turns out it was just this guy." Roland took out the Philosopher's Stone, opened a portal, and stepped into Gotham City.

"Gotham really is something else," Lex Luthor said darkly. After arriving in Gotham City, he had tested the air and discovered that its residents probably had lungs made of stainless steel. He had even detected fucking asbestos in the air.

Even more horrifyingly, asbestos wasn't even among the more dangerous things in it. Several unidentified substances were far worse, including some bizarre gaseous metal. Damn it, so that was where the metallic smell had come from.

"That's Gotham for you," Roland said,
