Vixen and Bronze Tiger chatted as they came down from the rooftop. Watching them, Richard Keevey's expression grew darker and darker.
"Sigh..."
"Your dad's personality isn't much like yours," Bronze Tiger whispered to Vixen. "He's a little too mild-mannered. I thought he'd lose his temper."
"He is a priest, after all. How does that verse go again?" Vixen thought for a moment. "Do not be quick to anger, for anger rests in the hearts of fools."
"That's what Ecclesiastes says." Bronze Tiger nodded.
"You weren't hurt, were you?" Richard Keevey asked Vixen.
"No. I have superpowers, remember? I don't get hurt that easily."
"That's good..."
"I'm starting to appreciate how powerful this necklace is," Vixen said. "Which makes me even more confused. If my mother had it on her, why did she die?"
"How did your mother die?" Bronze Tiger asked.
"She was killed by poachers," Richard Keevey said.
"Was it really poachers...?" Vixen sighed and gripped the necklace tightly.
"If you need help, I can ask a friend of mine to look into it," Bronze Tiger said. "He's the world's greatest detective."
"I'd still rather investigate this myself." Vixen politely declined his offer. "We're at the hotel. We'll head upstairs now."
"Okay." Bronze Tiger nodded. He and Vixen exchanged phone numbers, then he walked back to Roland Cathedral alone.
"Ben, why are you back so early?" Deadshot teased.
"What did you expect? Do I look like someone who sleeps around?"
"Not really." Deadshot nodded. "With a face like yours, you couldn't even if you wanted to."
"Hey, you—"
"Think you'll be able to sleep tonight? How about taking my watch?"
"Why wouldn't I be able to sleep?" Bronze Tiger rolled his eyes. "Worry about yourself." "I'm fine. My wife and I remarried."
"What?" Bronze Tiger froze. "When did that
