"Wait, isn't this a little too messed up?" Kara landed beside Jeanne d'Arc and couldn't help commenting.
"Tch, it's all Roland's fault." Jeanne d'Arc curled her lip. "But now isn't the time for that. This guy can draw out people's fears. If you have any particularly serious trauma, don't go near him."
"I actually do." Kara took a step back. She suddenly remembered watching Krypton's destruction, and fear spread through her heart. She hurried farther away from Scarecrow before she shook off that sudden terror.
"I'll kill you!" The blades on Scarecrow's hands abruptly lengthened as he charged at Jeanne d'Arc with incredible speed, only for Kara to blast him straight back with her Heat Vision.
"It's fine. There are ways to fight him without getting close." Kara's eyes glowed faintly red. After a brief pause, a blast of Heat Vision struck Scarecrow's head.
"All right, I'll hold him off while you attack from behind." Jeanne d'Arc swung her flag to block Scarecrow. White light enveloped her and spread outward, shielding her from his attacks. "My flag, protect my brethren! Luminosité Eternelle!"
Behind her, Kara kept firing Heat Vision, blasting Scarecrow's body until straw flew everywhere.
Working together, the two completely overwhelmed Scarecrow.
Outside Wayne Manor, Riddler's body had turned a distorted green. Green question marks kept flying out of him, forming riddles in people's minds whenever they struck someone. Only by solving them could those people move again.
