"Do you really want to beat me up that badly?" Katrina trembled.
"What do you think?" Selina shot Katrina a vicious look.
"I think beating me up might interfere with my treatment—"
"It's fine. It won't. Go ahead," Gilda's voice came from Selina's phone.
"Fine, then—" Selina grabbed Katrina by the back of her collar and hauled her up. With a whip in her other hand, she headed into a small room.
"Help!" Katrina cried in alarm. "Sister, please don't!"
"You even called her sister to save your skin? I'm ashamed of you!" Roland gloated from the sidelines.
As the door shut, despair spread across Katrina's face. "No—"
Half an hour later, Selina finally came out. "There. Send her to Gilda's Psychology Clinic in a couple of days. That'll be one less thing for me to worry about."
"In a couple of days?" Barbara froze. Just how badly had Selina beaten her?
"And thank you both for finding her." Selina slipped a bracelet that looked obviously expensive onto Barbara's wrist.
"Isn't this too valuable?" Barbara asked hesitantly.
"It's fine. Take it. Selina will steal it back before long anyway." Batman shrugged.
"Oh. Then I'll keep it."
"We'll head back if there's nothing else." Roland had drunk so much black tea that he felt thoroughly energized. "I don't think I'll need to sleep tonight. Might as well go home and play games."
"Bye." Batman waved to Roland.
"See you." Roland opened a Portal, and Barbara and Nightwing followed him through.
"Wait—why are you going with him?" Batman caught Nightwing by the arm.
"The Justice League headquarters is in Roland Cathedral. I practically live there now." Nightwing spread his hands. "Besides, Starfire lives there too."
"Hm?" Roland looked back at Nightwing. "What are you planning to do in a holy cathedral?"
"Nothing."
