Teaching Career

Daoist Zhang trained at the county Dao Academy before becoming an Inner Gate instructor at Azure Cloud Academy. His classes take place at Stillheart Hall after the students’ regular Outer Gate lessons, with an hour devoted to cultivation and guidance each day 4.

He has taught numerous students at both the academy and the Dao Academy, but distinguishes ordinary teacher–student ties from personal discipleship. Before accepting Chu Bai, he had only five personal disciples. All five passed the Dao Academy selection; the eldest also appeared on the Heavenly Examination’s honor roll and became a Principal Ninth Rank immortal official 15.
