"Harry, don't blame yourself for someone else's mistake!"

There was a rule against underage wizards using magic outside school, but nothing said they couldn't use physical force. Luo Bin pulled a Gunpowder bomb from the Blue Cloth Pouch, lit the fuse, and hurled it.

The Bludger exploded into countless fragments!

Then Luo Bin caught sight of a pointed gray ear in the bushes. Two green eyes gleamed among the leaves, and he instantly guessed why the Bludger had gone out of control.

He pretended to call George over for help. As he passed the bushes, he grabbed Dobby, the troublesome House-elf, and yanked him out.

"Let me go! Let me go! I... I can't breathe!"

Luo Bin narrowed his eyes at the little creature in his grip. Dobby had huge, bat-wing ears and green eyes the size of tennis balls, bulging well past his brow. Beneath his long, thin nose was a downturned mouth that made him look perpetually miserable.

His torso and limbs were thin, too—skin-and-bones thin. His clothes were made from an old pillowcase, with holes cut in the top and bottom so he could slip it on and tie it in a knot at the shoulder.

"Dob... Dobby? What... what are you doing here?"

Harry pulled the bloodied cotton from his nostrils and stared in shock.

Guilt flashed through Dobby's enormous green eyes. He wrung his fingers and said apologetically, "Hog... Hogwarts is dangerous. Dobby has to protect Mr. Pot... Potter. I'm... I'm sorry Dobby made you bleed. Bad Dobby! Bad Dobby!"

"Dobby, were you the one who made the Bludger go out of control?"

Dobby stopped kicking his little legs. His head drooped like a ripe stalk of grain. The answer was obvious.

Harry was furious. "Dobby, I told you to stay out of my business.
