"Oh, I only found spiders three times. The first was in Filch's dustpan: a dried-up black spider about the size of a fingernail. I can't imagine how long it had been dead in that corner."
"The second was on Neville's nose. It was a big spider covered in brown fuzz. Poor Neville cried from fright, while those pests Fred and George laughed so hard they could barely breathe."
"The last one was important. Down in the dungeon, a red spider the size of a fist was sitting on a huge web. Its abdomen was white and swollen... Luo Bin, Harry, Hermione, you know I'm terrified of spiders. I did my best just finding these!"
Ron slumped onto the floor, looking utterly defeated.
"Oh, only three sightings, and the widest area you tracked was a single web. Ron, I have to say, you really are... Never mind. Listen to mine."
"I found spiders twenty-three times. The first was in a pile of broken desks and chairs from Defense Against the Dark Arts. There were thirteen of them, each about the size of a grain of rice. They stayed within three holes in the broken desks, all right next to one another..."
"The twenty-third was in Hagrid's Little Stone Hut. There was a hole in the corner, full of cobwebs and shriveled mosquito and fly corpses. Strangely, there wasn't a single spider inside. Guess where they went?"
Hermione leaned forward as she asked.
"I... I can't guess! I did worse than Ron. I only found one place, under a bookshelf in the Library. It was just like the hut on the Hunting Grounds: cobwebs, but no spiders. What about you, Luo Bin? What did you find?"
As soon as Harry finished speaking, three hopeful, anxious gazes turned toward Luo Bin at once.
