After three roars, Kroni thrashed its body and charged at the "fly." Its blood-red eyes were as big as giant pumpkins. Hagrid stared at the black dot in the center of a pupil. Fifty meters... thirty-five... twenty... fifteen... five!

The instant the venomous needle shot out, Hagrid felt as if his heart had stopped. His mouth hung open, but he could not get a word out. He wanted to slap the broom to warn Luo Bin, only to find that he could not move his hand. His eyes reddened with panic!
Meanwhile, Luo Bin gripped the broom tightly, not daring to relax for an instant. Suddenly, the air behind him seemed to go still for several seconds. Then a towering wave hurled him and the broom dozens of meters away. He scraped his palms bloody before he managed to steady the Broomstick.

When the sea finally calmed, Luo Bin drew a deep breath of salty air. "Hagrid, we're... safe!"
"I... I'm sorry. I was too nervous. My body wouldn't listen to me, and I couldn't warn you in time!"
With the danger past, Hagrid gradually regained control of his body. His voice was full of remorse.
"It's all right. We made it, and that's what matters. We'll save up and buy another Flying Motorcycle someday!"
Luo Bin broke into a radiant smile of relief. For the first time in this fantastical world, he felt how good it was to be alive. After surviving this ordeal, he thought he had finally become part of it.
