"Magic runes?"

By the time Luo Bin came over, Edward had cleared quite a few dead leaves from the base of the stone. Luo Bin tried to help, but Edward turned him down.

"Magic runes are ancient stuff. Apart from members of a few Pure-blood families, hardly anyone can read them. Luo Bin, don't disturb Edward!"

Strangely, ever since Norbert had gone missing, the usually impulsive Hagrid had been the one cautioning Luo Bin. Magic runes were clearly that mysterious.

A few minutes later, Edward had cleared all the leaves from the base of the stone, exposing rose-shaped magic runes to the three of them.

"Oh, my Merlin! This... this is a Teleportation Array, a very ancient one! Look, there's a '↣' carved into the stone. That's the mark Ager left behind. He... he activated the Teleportation Array!"

While Edward was excited, Luo Bin had to get something useful out of him. A faint smile touched his lips. "Then, Mr. Edward, how do you activate a Teleportation Array?"

"The more advanced the rune array, the simpler it is to activate. You just find a starting point and trace the whole thing in one stroke. Wait, Robin Sear, stop! If you do that, you'll put us all in danger! The best thing to do is return to base and report to your uncle... Mmph!"

Poor Edward. He struggled with all his might but could not break free of Hagrid's grip.

One-stroke drawing puzzles were Luo Bin's specialty. Three minutes later, he wiped the dust from his fingertips. "Mr. Edward, I think Norbert will thank you."

It's over. It's all over. The youngest son of the Edward family is going to die in some unknown pitch-black place. That was what went through Edward's mind when the magic runes began to glow black.
