"Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils?"
Inside the bridal chamber.
Red filled every corner of the room.
Medusa sat on the bed with her long, shapely legs crossed, her pale feet swaying before Xiao Yan's eyes. As she idly picked at her alluring pale-purple nails, she glanced at him through narrowed eyes and spoke.
"Mm." Xiao Yan nodded, making no attempt to hide it.
He could not fully trust the Snake-People Tribe just yet.
The Snake-People and the Jia Ma Empire had been at war for years. An alliance was possible, but complete trust was another matter. Otherwise, things like today's incident would happen. He could hardly blame Medusa and the Grand Elder, though. They had been caught in it too.
So he could use the Snake-People Tribe as a force under his command, but he absolutely could not bring them into the Xiao Clan's inner circle.
"The women around you are all rather extraordinary," Medusa said. She reclined lazily on the bed, her thin purple gauze tracing her captivating figure. Propping her cheek on one hand, she studied Xiao Yan.
"So are you." Xiao Yan smiled.
"Hmph." Medusa gave him a soft kick with her pale foot as he sat cross-legged at the edge of the bed, cultivating. "Are you coming or not? I'm getting sleepy..."
"You're the first man I've seen cultivate on his wedding night."
"Phew..."
Xiao Yan breathed out and took her foot in his hand with a helpless smile. His fingertips brushed over her fair skin, and a blush instantly spread across Medusa's face. A flicker of shyness passed through her eyes.
Yet she did not pull her foot away. Instead, her wild, pale-purple eyes met his in open challenge.
"Damn it!"
Xiao Yan's lips curved. He pounced and fell over her like a starving tiger.
