The book goes on sale at midnight tonight. I'll post around five chapters first, then keep updating tomorrow. The total for the day will definitely top 20,000 Chinese characters.

After that, regular updates will start at eight chapters a day.

As for the pacing being too fast, with Xiao Yan reaching Peak Dou Ling in sixty chapters... I think it's fine. Anyone familiar with my books knows they've always featured overpowered protagonists. Even when there's growth and leveling up, they generally crush opponents at the same level. I prefer writing the story itself, and there are ways to write an overpowered protagonist without having everything fall apart halfway through.

Taishang Laojun does give Xiao Yan an enormous advantage, but it raises his ceiling and makes the road ahead easier. It doesn't mean one Golden Core will send him soaring straight to ascension. The Old Lord is here to wander the mortal world, not run a crash course.

Xiao Yan might even visit the Journey to the West World as the Old Lord's pill-refining attendant in a side story and hang out with the Heavenly Court's three biggest rebels.

I originally wanted to write a fanfic of The Great Ruler and fulfill an old dream. But the rankings looked bleak—not a single premium title. Making a living comes first, so I'll bring The Great Ruler into the story while writing Battle Through the Heavens.

Nine Nether and Qing Yanjing will appear soon, though. The story won't wait until it reaches the Great Thousand World to connect with them.

And The Great Ruler is the only other work I'll bring in. I haven't read The Origin or any of Tudou's later books. I followed The Great Ruler as it was serialized throughout middle school, but schoolwork kept me too busy to read
