Before the two sides even clashed, the Amegakure ninja struck first. Several swiftly pulled the Iron Umbrellas from their backs and flicked their wrists. The umbrellas snapped open, their ribs shuddering as dense volleys of Senbon shot from holes in the canopies.

Countless thin metal needles swept toward the samurai in the front ranks like a downpour. The samurai drew their swords and swung rapidly, blades crossing to parry the attack. A ceaseless ringing filled the air. Their swords blocked most of the Senbon; the few that slipped through struck their armor but failed to pierce it.
"Heh. That's Amegakure's Ninjutsu? What a joke. You thought you could ambush samurai with a few Senbon?" a samurai sneered from behind his faceplate.
The Amegakure ninja's faces darkened. They quickly formed Hand Seals. "Don't get cocky. We'll show you Amegakure's specialty. Water Release: Black Rain Technique!" Murky black water gathered overhead and fell in sheets. Faintly pungent black rain poured onto the samurai, hissing as soon as it touched their armor.
