Disaster Strikes! (Second Update)

On a stretch of open ground, two groups were fighting. Though calling it a fight was generous: one side attacked, the other defended. Four men pressed the assault, while two women held out against them. Only one of the women was still using her Martial Soul, struggling desperately to resist. Behind her lay the other woman, unconscious.

The two women were Dan Moyou and Ning Rongrong. Rongrong had exhausted her Soul Power and passed out. That left Mo You alone, struggling to hold on with her Martial Soul, the Fireheart Cauldron. From the look of her, she would not last much longer.

The men attacking her kept trying to break her spirit with their words. She had held out this long through sheer force of will.

"Hey, sweetheart, give up! You can't get away, and we're not going to do anything to you. We just need you to come with us, that's all. Why put yourself through this? Keep it up until your Soul Power runs dry, and you'll damage your foundations," the yellow-haired young man said.

"You... shameless bastards!" Mo You said through clenched teeth.

"That's right, we're shameless. Heh! Curse us all you want. We're only following orders. If you want to hate someone, hate our young master. Besides, your Soul Power must be almost gone, right? Even if we stop attacking, you'll collapse from exhaustion in five minutes. So give it up now," the yellow-haired young man said.

Mo You stared at the four men opposite her. They had stopped attacking, but they were right. In another five minutes, she really would collapse and lose consciousness.

A wave of helplessness rose from the depths of her heart. Was there truly no way out?

Suddenly, her eyes sharpened. Better to die than let them capture and humiliate us.
