Background and History

Ye Qingyao’s birth mother descended from the Gravekeepers of Three Kings’ Tomb. Her biological father, Ye Wanshan, gained her mother’s trust under the name Xu Zhi, learned how to open the tomb, and joined Eastern Seas Demon Blade Users in stealing the Gan Jiang and Mo Ye swords. He then massacred more than three hundred members of her maternal family. Ye Qingyao was five when she survived the slaughter; Ye Wanqing found her at ten and raised her with Hong Tianbao 84.

Ye Wanshan later became known as Yagyu Kanjō. Hearing his name during her match with Ma Teng shook Ye Qingyao enough that she accidentally drew blood. Under the match’s first-blood rule, she forfeited despite having dominated the fight 72 74.

Appearance

Ye Qingyao has fair skin, delicate features, and clear eyes. She commonly wears training clothes and ties her long hair high or back with a plain ribbon 16 58 318.

Ye Qingyao is a demanding instructor who uses sustained sparring and blunt criticism to expose weaknesses. She pushes Li Xiang and Qin Zhong hard, but also explains martial principles, shares techniques, and prepares them for dangerous opponents 40 138 198 203.

Her cool manner conceals fierce loyalty. She protects Li Xiang when news of his Ghost Artifact puts him at risk and immediately commits to rescuing Qin Zhong after learning he remains conscious in the Netherworld 137 319. She refuses to let a proposed marriage or a prophecy settle her future for her 72 176.
