Background
Dao Xing Heavenly Venerate is a direct disciple of the Jade Void lineage and one of the Jade Void Twelve Golden Immortals. He is the master revered by the Jade Void Palace disciples on the Vast Continent, including senior disciple brother Pei Qin Hu. When Qin Zheng first reaches the palace, Dao Xing is believed to be in deep slumber, one of the three dormant Hunyuan powers whose existence underpins the continent's major factions 443.
His Great Dao suffered grave damage, appearing as a cracked and nearly broken manifestation. While his disciples sought rare treasures in the Sea of Rules to mend those wounds, Dao Xing had actually spent millions of years feigning slumber and using the Haotian Mirror to travel the heavens and restore himself 445 492 497.
Appearance
Dao Xing appears as a slender Daoist with a ruddy complexion and bright eyes compared to containing the sun, moon, and stars. Despite his reputed injuries, he shows no visible sign of being gravely wounded upon awakening 478.
- Often appears in Daoist robes amid chaotic mist or clear light 494 495.
- His awakened Great Dao remains visibly covered in cracks, though its majesty far exceeds its earlier state 492.
- When exerting his full strength, clear light surrounds him and he is likened to the sole deity between heaven and earth 495.
Personality
Dao Xing is composed, patient, and calculating. He concealed his recovery for millions of years, used the Haotian Mirror to prepare against the Heavenly Court, and deliberately turned three enemy Hunyuan Wuji into the force needed to break Shi Jingxuan's seal 495 497.
He is also notably generous toward Qin Zheng. He restores the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi rather than claiming it, provides essential guidance on Qin Zheng's Hunyuan path, and ultimately relinquishes the Haotian Mirror to Qin Zheng after recognizing the artifact's choice of master 478 497 518. He nevertheless remains cautious, refusing to allow Qin Zheng to enter the increasingly volatile Thirty-Third Heaven before reaching Hunyuan Wuji 497.
Abilities & Skills
Hunyuan Wuji Combat Power

- Faced three Hunyuan Wuji Immortal Gods alone and drove them into the earth with successive attacks 495.
- His perfected Hunyuan Wuji cultivation brought him infinitely close to the Dao Realm Legend stage 528.
- In battle with Yang Jian, he directly clashed Great Daos to identify his own shortcomings before attempting his breakthrough 529.
Immortal Slaying Sword Formation
Dao Xing can deploy the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation against Dao Realm threats.
- Used the formation to counter a second Dao Realm mighty being from the Heavenly Court, forcing the attackers to withdraw 512.
- The formation's pressure was sufficient to make the Heavenly Court's Dao Realm side reconsider direct escalation 512.
- At the time of its deployment, only one sword within the formation was genuine; the formation also had obligations suppressing corrupted powerful beings 513 515.
Haotian Mirror Mastery
Before transferring the Haotian Mirror to Qin Zheng, Dao Xing used it as both a recovery tool and a strategic weapon.
- Used its power over millions of years to heal his Dao injury while appearing to remain in slumber 497.
- Absorbed Pollution Qi from three Heavenly Court Immortal Gods, strengthening the mirror enough to break Shi Jingxuan's seal 495.
- Knows that the complete mirror can observe all heavens and myriad worlds, identify pollution, and help its wielder strengthen their Dao foundation 497.
- Could not restore the mirror to completeness despite searching for its fragments for millions of years 497.

Story Role / Major Arcs
Awakening and the Sea of Rules
Qin Zheng awakens Dao Xing with the Three Treasures Jade Ruyi rather than the Exquisite Dao Fruit sought by the Jade Void disciples. Dao Xing reunites the Ruyi with its missing half, explains the balance of Hunyuan powers on the Vast Continent, and becomes interested in the Hunyuan position forming within the Sea of Rules 478 479.
Rather than quietly claiming that position, he permits news of it to spread, turning the coming Hunyuan conflict into part of a wider plan. He later appears to prevent Shi Jingxuan's clone from attacking Qin Zheng during the struggle 479 490.
Release of Shi Jingxuan
Dao Xing reveals that his injury has not reduced him to helplessness. He overwhelms three Heavenly Court Hunyuan Wuji, uses the Haotian Mirror to absorb their Pollution Qi, and exploits their power to rupture the seal imprisoning Shi Jingxuan, a Legendary Dao Realm mighty one 495.
Afterward, Dao Xing explains the history of the Thirty-Three Heavens and the pollution crisis to Qin Zheng. He then transfers the Haotian Mirror to Qin Zheng, believing the artifact's destiny and future completion lie with him 496 497.
Protection of Qin Zheng
When Li Jing attempts to threaten the inhabitants of the Yuantong Primordial Cave Heaven, Dao Xing intervenes, declares the realm independent of Heavenly Court control, and injures Li Jing 510. He later protects Qin Zheng from a Heavenly Court Dao Realm attack, deploying the Immortal Slaying Sword Formation and openly challenging the opposing power 511 512.
Journey to the Eight Views Palace
Having reached perfected Hunyuan Wuji, Dao Xing joins Qin Zheng and other allies in entering the Eight Views Palace. There, he ascends an immortal mountain step by step, reviews his lifetime of cultivation, uses his battle with Yang Jian to correct his deficiencies, and meets Grand Master Xuan Du at the summit 528 529 531.
Xuan Du gives him the Years Cycle Pill, enabling Dao Xing to prove the Dao and become a Legend 531 535.
Death and Re-nurturing
Dao Xing is later among the Dao Realm experts killed by the Heavenly Emperor's avatar. Xuan Du places his body in the Eight Trigrams Purple Gold Furnace to be re-nurtured alongside Guang Chengzi, Taiyi Zhenren, Yang Jian, and others 563. He subsequently resumes appearing in the Yuanyang Realm, where he and other former Jade Void deities establish lineages without disturbing Qin Zheng 589.
