That was so embarrassing. What was I thinking? Uchiha Yin isn't angry, is he?

Kushina Uzumaki felt her whole body burning up, but she still looked timidly at Uchiha Yin, her expression pitiful.

She's so cute! Uchiha Yin felt himself melting. At this rate, he was going to develop a thing for little girls. He could not even keep pretending to be angry.

"Don't do that again."

Uchiha Yin sounded exasperated.

Kushina Uzumaki nodded, and the two continued home. They still barely spoke, but the awkwardness between them had given way to something sweet.

"He really is something, isn't he? Those reports were wrong after all."

After Uchiha Yin and Kushina Uzumaki left, Tsunade stepped out from behind a cherry blossom tree with a teasing smile. Along the road they had taken, Ninja from Root lay sprawled on the ground.

"I'll have to get the old man to warn Danzo. He sent far too many people to watch Kushina Uzumaki."

Chapter 14: I'm Really Curious

Tsunade had followed Uchiha Yin and Kushina Uzumaki ever since school let out. Along the way, she had spotted quite a few Root Ninja.

She had shown them no mercy. She let one go to carry a message to Danzo and dealt with the rest.

Of course, Tsunade had not killed them. They were Konoha Ninja, after all, and she was not that ruthless.

But she had taught them a lesson.

Once she had dealt with the Root Ninja, Tsunade was the only one left following the pair.

The Telescope Technique could not track a moving target. It could only observe a fixed area, and shifting the view required using the Ninjutsu again.

So Hiruzen Sarutobi was no longer watching Uchiha Yin and Kushina Uzumaki.

Hiruzen Sarutobi trusted Tsunade completely and had recalled the ANBU as well.

Besides, as Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi was swamped with work. He had little time to watch Uchiha Yin and Kushina Uzumaki.

That meant Tsunade was the only outsider who had seen what happened there. No one else had witnessed it.

And what she saw changed her opinion of Uchiha Yin.

The reason was simple: what she had seen with her own eyes was nothing like what she had read in the reports.

No, perhaps it was not entirely different. The gap was simply enormous. The reports had barely scratched the surface.

Take the claim that Uchiha Yin had a nasty personality.

As Tsunade saw it, he was not nasty at all. He was just terribly awkward about showing he cared.

Otherwise, he would never have taken it upon himself to deal with that inept Genin for Kushina Uzumaki.

But after dealing with the inept Genin, Uchiha Yin had not graciously accepted her thanks like most people would. Instead, he had awkwardly insulted her and told her not to make a big deal of it.

If that wasn't someone hiding how much he cared, what was?

His nasty personality was only a front. Deep down, he had a warm heart.

It was understandable. Uchiha Yin was not anyone important, so the ANBU had gathered only superficial information about him. Their reports might not have been all that accurate.
