Naruto: They Have Systems

The system's appearance was as baffling as Uchiha Mikoto's behavior. Could the two be connected?

Surely the system couldn't change someone's personality on its own?

Uchiha Yin entertained the thought as a joke.

But no matter how wild his imagination ran, he would never have guessed that Uchiha Mikoto had a system too.

After all, systems were usually reserved for protagonists, weren't they?

Then again, Yin's system seemed to do nothing but boost his strength for free.

What Yin didn't know was that those rewards were anything but free.

He gently moved Mikoto's arms and legs off him, then went to the bathroom to wash up.

As soon as Yin left, Mikoto's eyes flew open. She pulled the blanket over her head!

What on earth did I do last night?!

Mikoto had actually woken when the system notification sounded.

The task-completion alerts had sounded at the same time, waking her as well.

But she had sensed roughly what position she was in, so she had kept her eyes shut.

She remembered what had happened last night. Worse, she had woken to find herself holding Yin—and he was already awake!

At the thought of how tightly she had held him, with her thigh draped over him and her face less than five centimeters from his, close enough to feel his breath, her cheeks burned.

She had managed to keep herself under control until Yin left. Now that he was gone, she hid her head beneath the blanket.

"Ding! Host, the next side quest has begun. Side Quest Three: Your little brother's strength is beyond question, his charm is irresistible, and his excellence inspires adoration. Yet such an outstanding little brother still knows no Fire Release Ninjutsu. Teach him to use Fire Release Ninjutsu within one month."

"Success reward: Lightning Release Chakra. Failure penalty: Lie naked in Uchiha Yin's arms."

Another task had appeared. Once the heat in Mikoto's cheeks had faded, she finally focused on reading it.

After reading it, she breathed a sigh of relief.

The penalty was still the same sort of thing, but at least the task itself was much more normal.

Teaching Yin a Fire Release Ninjutsu within a month should be easy, right?

Mikoto recalled learning the Great Fireball Technique herself. It had taken her... about two months, hadn't it? So this should still be pretty easy. (It probably took that long to learn ninjutsu as a child, right?)

As soon as that thought crossed her mind, her face stiffened.

What?! It took me two months to learn it! How is Yin supposed to learn it in one?

Doesn't that mean I can't complete the task?

Imagining herself lying naked in Yin's arms, Mikoto's expression darkened again.

Yin, I'm sorry, but you have to learn Fire Release within a month!
