"If you force all that into his mind, he won't be able to take it."
Mordo reached out to stop Ryan.
But Ryan glanced at Strange's tightly shut eyes and tense expression, then reassured Mordo. "He looks like he's handling it just fine."
Then light shone from Ryan's fingertip.
Strange opened his eyes again and saw a different world.
It was the world Ryan had once seen.
The sorcerers of Kamar-Taj practiced magic day after day on the training ground.
Their exercises might have been ordinary, but they took every magic line they drew and every attempt to open a Portal seriously.
Strange watched their movements and the way they drew their Magic Circles.
He watched them again and again.
He kept watching.
At last, Strange stretched out a finger and drew a circle in front of himself, copying one of the sorcerers.
"That's enough." Ryan's voice suddenly rang through Strange's world.
The entire world shattered like glass, and Strange was pulled out of it in a daze.
He felt Ryan's finger leave his temple and let out a breath.
Before him glowed a fiery-red Magic Circle, open wide enough for one person to pass through.
"I've got it." Strange looked at his hands in delight, then turned to Ryan with gratitude.
Mordo stared at Ryan in surprise too. He hadn't expected Ryan to be so gifted at magic and so capable of teaching it.
"Have you considered helping me teach the sorcerers of Kamar-Taj?" he asked Ryan.
"No." Ryan shook his head.
Teaching took time, and he had other things to do.
On the training ground, Ryan looked at Strange. "How do you feel?"
"Amazing. For the first time, magic doesn't seem that hard. What are we learning next?"
"Next?" Ryan didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
