As the words fell, blades rained from the sky.

Ryan's Magic Amplification was powerful. A rain of blades poured down from above.

The sharp Swords of the Vishanti pierced the flying craft, sending them crashing to the ground.

And the bigger the craft, the more damage it took.

The largest of the flying craft, a whale-like vessel, had its back riddled with holes by the falling Swords of the Vishanti.

The blades kept falling.

Gradually, the sky cleared until only white clouds drifted through it.

Gradually, the Chitauri soldiers on the ground were pierced by blades falling from above.

A little while later,

the effect was much like clearing a map in a game.

Not a single Chitauri soldier could be seen moving in New York City.

Tony stared, dumbfounded. "It's over?"

Loki, hiding in the distance, was just as stunned. "That's all the Chitauri had?"

Ryan wasn't stunned. With his X-Ray Vision, he could see Chitauri hiding in the corners of New York, sheltered by buildings.

There weren't many, but they had lost all will to fight.

With the skies over New York City clear, Ryan dismissed the Portals.

High above, the golden Portals sandwiching the dark blue Portal slowly closed.

Thor stopped firing lightning and flew over to Ryan. "You're going to let those things through?"

"Yeah. In the old games, it was all about pulling mobs, killing mobs, then doing it again."

"This isn't a game." Thor looked up. Blades were no longer falling from the sky.

But Chitauri aircraft were beginning to emerge from the dark blue Portal one after another.

The air force came in dense swarms, as though it had been waiting for ages. Its forces gathered and charged back into the skies over New York City.

Tony, watching from below, felt his heart
