Ryan knew better than to meet laser beams like those head-on, the way he had with Zod.

He drew a Portal with the hand wearing his Sling Ring.

Two Portals appeared: one in front of him, the other behind Doomsday.

Doomsday looked baffled. He was still attacking when his own attack struck him.

The searing, dazzling beams burned mercilessly into Doomsday's back, releasing the smell of charred flesh.

Doomsday screamed.

Ryan thought he had hurt him and looked on hopefully, only to see the burns on Doomsday's back heal rapidly, leaving him stronger than before.

"Damn."

Ryan had no idea what to do with a monster like that.

He remembered that in the show where Doomsday appeared, Superman had killed him by driving a Kryptonite spear deep into him.

Then Ryan should be able to do the same.

He immediately drew a new Portal and traveled to Zod's ship.

Only when he arrived did he notice.

Just a few fragments of the ship remained. After the Nuclear Bomb exploded, Doomsday had unleashed a shock wave of his own, and the ship had not survived it.

Its wreckage lay scattered across the ground.

Ryan searched around but found no Kryptonite.

Before long, Doomsday appeared in Ryan's field of vision.

The gray-white monster was enormous and terrifying.

Ryan could not leave him to keep destroying the city.

So he stretched out his hand and drew a Portal beneath Doomsday's feet.

The ground suddenly vanished beneath Doomsday. He froze, unable to find a foothold, and dropped helplessly through the Portal.

The other end of the Portal opened high in the sky, and Doomsday began to free-fall.

Ryan watched closely. Each time Doomsday was about to hit the ground, he opened another Portal, trapping
