Looking at Kimiko's smile, Ryan couldn't bring himself to smile back.
He had crossed the ocean and passed through towns overnight, even fighting Homelander along the way. Now, all he felt was exhaustion.

At that moment, the spider was basking in the moonlight, completely motionless.
Ryan couldn't sleep anymore. His eyes snapped open, and he walked over to the window.
Then, following the instructions from a video he had watched before, he caught the spider and placed it on his hand.

Ryan found it increasingly adorable. Unable to resist, he tore off a section of the web it had spun by the window and used the nearly transparent silk to bind the Joro Spider's eight legs.

With its legs stuck together by its own silk, the spider rested quietly in Ryan's palm like a jellyfish, all its limbs bundled into a tight knot.
Now, it was struggling hard to break free.
Ryan was very pleased with his handiwork. He placed the Joro Spider back on its web and watched it struggle to free itself from the silk wrapped around it.
