Several more days passed after they left Dr. Baum's estate.

Stormfront sought Ryan out.

In a corridor of Seven Tower, the dark-haired woman approached him. "Ryan, what did you talk about with Dr. Baum?"

"Your measurements."

"You don't need to ask him about that. Just ask me."

"Never mind. I don't want to know."

Ryan shook his head, but Stormfront caught his hand, her expression plainly saying, "I want to talk to you alone."

She pulled Ryan into a room just off the corridor.

The moment they entered, Stormfront locked the door. "You don't trust me at all. That really hurts my feelings."

"Then why aren't you crying?"

"My tears dried up long ago."

It seemed to be someone's office. There was a desk with two cacti on it, and a group photo of Supes hung on the white wall beside it.

In the quiet room, Ryan sat on the black sofa against the wall. "What are you plotting?"

"You make it sound like I have some sinister agenda. I just want to chat with you."

Ryan didn't believe a word she said.

Not just because they had only met yesterday, but because Ryan knew the original story. Homelander and The Deep were merely scumbags; Stormfront was an outright monster.

Anything this woman said should be taken with a grain of salt. No one knew what crazy thing she might do next.
