The light faded.
Most of the high-rises in the Mirror Dimension had vanished. The duplicates created by the Walk of Ikonn broke free of the buildings and flew into the sky.
Hundreds of Superman-like figures stood among the clouds in the blue sky.
A moment passed.
Ryan dismissed the Walk of Ikonn, leaving only himself. He searched in every direction with X-Ray Vision and discovered that Kaecilius had escaped after all.
Magic really was useful.
A flick of the fingers opened a Portal, and even Ryan's Laser Eyes, which covered every angle, couldn't catch him.

Kaecilius must have teleported somewhere to cling to life. Ryan wanted to return to Kamar-Taj first and report his betrayal.
Then he could discuss what to do about Kaecilius with the sorcerers.
With that decided, Ryan drew a Portal in the air and stepped through.
