Damn it, this bastard was up to no good after all!
He deliberately tricked us!
No wonder Orochimaru brought up Rin out of nowhere!
It was a setup from the start!
What a scheming bastard!
Obito Uchiha cursed inwardly, but his expression remained unchanged and his voice calm.
"You've got it wrong. We don't have any special connection to Rin Nohara."
"Do whatever you want to her. Whether she lives or dies, we don't care."
Kakashi looked conflicted. He glanced from Obito to Yongye and opened his mouth to speak, but Obito silenced him with a glare.
Yongye looked surprised. After staring at Obito for a moment, he spoke with a glib smile.
"Really? I heard you were quite fond of Rin Nohara. I'm not asking for much. Just one Mangekyo Sharingan..."
Obito's eyes narrowed slightly at the words "Mangekyo Sharingan." Now he was even more certain that this man was trying to get something for nothing.
Obito shook his head hard.
"Those are just rumors. She was only a classmate."
"It's been so many years. We have no connection anymore."
That was exactly the answer Yongye had expected. He nodded in satisfaction and turned a grinning face toward Kakashi.
"Kakashi, what do you say? Were you really just classmates? You don't care whether Rin Nohara lives or dies either?"
"I..."
Kakashi's lips parted, then closed again.
His gaze shifted from Yongye's face to Obito's, then dropped to a crack in the wooden floor by his feet. His expression was torn, as though he wanted to speak but couldn't.
Obito glared at him and urged, "Kakashi, say it."
Kakashi nodded helplessly.
"Yeah. Rin and I weren't that close."
"Whatever happens to her has nothing to do with us."
Yongye looked from Kakashi to Obito and back again, a mischievous grin
