After Huo awakened Innate Full Soul Power, Jero gave him the village’s sole work-study place at Nuoding Academy and took him there by donkey cart. When Huo refused Yu Xiaogang’s offer to become his disciple, Jero stepped between them, apologized on Huo’s behalf, and urged the boy to take care of himself. He gave Huo money and advice before leaving him at the academy 2 3 4.
Three years later, Huo visited Jero before departing for Heaven Dou City. Moved by Huo’s progress, Jero reluctantly accepted a bag containing half the Gold Soul Coin stipend Huo had accumulated. He was sorry to see Huo leave but understood that he could not hold back the boy’s future 12.
