Wang Dong and Tang Wutong

Wang Dong and Tang Wutong occupy the same body but are not simply interchangeable names for one personality. Niu Tian observes that they look identical and possess the same soul aura, yet differ fundamentally in temperament and behavior. He doubts Tang San’s claim that they are the same person 38 46.

Tang San’s intended awakening process would shatter Wang Dong’s consciousness, convert it into divine soul essence, and use it to strengthen and complete Tang Wutong’s soul. The same power was supposed to protect Wang Dong before Xiao Qi awakened 39.

Before this arrangement is exposed, Wang Dong experiences missing memories, inconsistent impulses, and sensations of being controlled. Her guardians explain her past difficulties as a childhood illness. When Zhou Yi attempts to intimidate her, she refuses to submit and attacks the teacher’s restraint despite the overwhelming cultivation gap. Once she recognizes Zhou Yi’s attempt to manipulate the incident, she leaves and seeks help from the Clear Sky Sect 27 28 29.

Her attachment to Huo Yuhao develops quickly. She feels comfortable in their dormitory, becomes jealous of Nan Qiuqiu’s closeness to him, and repeatedly abandons plans to scold him as soon as he returns. She is also fiercely protective, becoming angrier than Huo himself when she hears that an upperclasswoman injured him 14 15 18 37.

Her judgment is complicated by soul interference. She can be perceptive and decisive, yet sometimes feels mentally muddled or behaves in ways she immediately recognizes as alien to herself.
