Background and History

Lu Mingzi is a transmigrator from Earth who took over the body of a twelve-year-old boy with the same name after the boy died of illness. The original Lu Mingzi was an orphan from a poor village near Nuoding City. His awakening of twin Martial Souls and Innate Full Soul Power brought him to Spirit Hall’s attention 1 3.

Qian Renxue recognized that his Demonic Angel resonated with her Six-Winged Angel and brought him to Qian Daoliu. Qian Daoliu identified it as a Martial Soul lost from the Angel Lineage a thousand years earlier. Offered a choice of masters, Lu Mingzi chose Qian Renxue over two Titled Douluo 3 4.

After obtaining his Second Soul Ring, Lu Mingzi chose six years of independent training near the Star Dou Great Forest. He hunted Soul Beasts to strengthen his body and develop his rings with Deep Blue, while concealing that ability from others. He returned as a Soul Elder but discovered dangerous Demonic Qi and a voice within his Spiritual Sea. The voice eventually emerged as a Demonic Thought carrying memories of an earlier inheritor, Song Feng 7 9 10 17.

Following a map found beneath a Titan Giant Ape’s remains, Lu Mingzi entered Demon Valley and found Song Feng’s preserved spirit. Song Feng’s transfer of Divine Yin Power brought him to level 40 but imposed a potentially fatal deadline: obtain and absorb two Soul Rings in five minutes 19 21 22.

Appearance

Six years of training change Lu Mingzi from a thin boy into a muscular young man about 1.8 metres tall. He sometimes keeps his clothes ragged because opponents may underestimate him 9 11.

Personality

Lu Mingzi is ambitious and willing to endure painful Soul Ring upgrades to grow stronger. He seeks independent training even after Qian Daoliu offers him protection, partly to keep Deep Blue secret 7 11. He can also show restraint: when he finds a wounded Man Faced Demon Spider, he leaves it to the Soul Masters already hunting it 20.

He is initially wary of using Demonic Qi because he fears its effect on his mind. His feelings for Qian Renxue make him awkward around her, although he remains firm in his choice to be her disciple 4 10 16.

Demonfire Blade and Soul Skills

The Demonfire Blade is Lu Mingzi’s offensive Martial Soul, used to channel flame, poison, and blade attacks 1 2 12.

• Void Spirit Slash: A flaming blade strike carrying fire poison and poisonous gas; Lu Mingzi can neutralize the poison at will 2 11.
• Raging Blade Gale: Releases multiple flaming blades across a wide area. It has strong explosive power but consumes enough Soul Power to exhaust him after repeated use 6 7.
• Mystic Body, Fire-Bathed Method: Wraps him in flames and strengthens his body and defence. Later upgrades improve resistance to control effects and add a shockwave to his strikes 12 18 19.

Demonic Angel

The Demonic Angel is Lu Mingzi’s second Martial Soul. Its devouring ability lets him absorb energy from Soul Beast flesh and blood essence, strengthening his body 1 5 9.

• Its black wings permit flight, but one high-speed escape drains all his Soul Power and leaves him unable to use Soul Skills for three days 20 21.
• Its Demonic Qi can strengthen his flames and weapon. Initially painful and difficult to suppress, it becomes easier to control after Qian Renxue’s healing and the emergence of his Demonic Thought 10 12 14 16 17.
• According to Demonic Thought, further development of devouring power could allow him to condense compatible Soul Rings himself; Lu Mingzi has not done so in the provided chapters 17.

Deep Blue

Deep Blue is the system Lu Mingzi brought from Earth. It can simulate Soul Ring fusion, predict absorption outcomes, enhance ring ages, and deduce additional skill effects 1 2 6 19.

• Its operations consume Soul Blood Units gathered from Soul Beasts 2 8 19.
• Ring enhancement can cause severe exhaustion or bodily injury; Lu Mingzi believes a body too weak to withstand the energy could be killed 9 11.
