Shinji watched a green whirlwind fly upside down past the window, a smile tugging at his lips.
"Once, Konoha was the strongest village. Yet the most powerful man of that era, someone who could have swept across the entire Shinobi World, chose to 'give' the Tailed Beasts to the others. How absurd was that? A strong adult holding weapons capable of destroying the world handed them to four unarmed children and told them they could use those weapons to keep each other in check and prevent war?"
Shinji turned to Tsunade. "I have nothing against your grandfather, Hashirama Senju. I respect what he accomplished in bringing order to a chaotic age. But what he left to the Shinobi World—and to his own younger brother, the Second—was an enormous mess!"
"The first war, the second, the third, the fourth... If we don't change, if we don't find a new way forward, then in ten years or a hundred, the Five Great Shinobi Villages will be the ones to destroy the Shinobi World!"
Tsunade frowned, about to argue.
But then she remembered the absurd reason this war had begun, and fell silent...
Shinji gave her a gentle smile.
"So, Lady Tsunade, why call a ceasefire? Why give him a chance to negotiate? We need to hurt them, frighten them, beat them to their knees!"
"Those treacherous, war-hungry thugs will never understand who gave them the Tailed Beasts in the first place, who gave them the foundation to build villages and become great nations!"

He stood over her and leaned down slightly.
Drawing close, he stared into her amber eyes.
