Under everyone's attacks, Obito Uchiha vanished. When he reappeared, he was behind Rasa.
"Wood Release: Wood Thorn Technique!"
At Obito Uchiha's icy voice, Rasa's hair stood on end. To him, it sounded like a demon from hell whispering in his ear.
Without thinking, Rasa tried to form a defensive wall out of gold dust.
But he had overestimated how quickly he could activate his ninjutsu and underestimated how fast Obito Uchiha could strike.
With a wet shunk, sharp wooden spikes pierced his chest, bursting into branches through his torso.
"I actually..." Rasa stared in disbelief at the roots bursting out of his chest, then collapsed with incredulity still written across his face.
"Lord Kazekage..."
"Impossible... how could Lord Kazekage..."
"Ah... I'll kill you!"
"Who will be next?" Obito Uchiha's calm voice rang out.
A tremendous shadow fell over everyone's hearts, subjecting them to crushing psychological pressure.
Obito Uchiha let the frenzied Sunagakure jonin's attacks pass through him. The next instant, he appeared behind one of them, raised his hand, extended a wooden spike, and drove it down.
Shunk! Blood scattered, and another jonin fell dead.
"Everyone, don't panic! He's just a cornered beast fighting for his life!" Ōnoki shouted from the sky.
"Heh..." Obito Uchiha chuckled. When he appeared again, he was behind an Iwagakure jonin, whom he impaled with a single strike.
At the sight, Ōnoki's blood pressure shot up.
He had only just called the man a cornered beast, and now Obito had slapped him in the face right in front of everyone.
"One minute left. Who else would make a suitable target?" Obito Uchiha's Sharingan spun as he searched.
The Mizukage was no longer a suitable choice. He had seen Mei Terumi use a shadow clone earlier, and now her real body was hidden somewhere unknown.
"Then..."
