The Blood Ravens used the surrounding Armed Servitors as cover and swiftly closed in on the Necron Scarab that had charged into their ranks.

Chainswords and Power Swords slashed across the Scarab's chassis, sending sparks flying as it toppled to the ground.

The Armed Servitors nearby immediately clambered onto the Scarab's body and attacked its head relentlessly.

The Scarab released its Phase Blade and easily tore the irritating little creatures off its body, shredding them before searching for another target.

The Blood Ravens seized the opportunity to slice off the Scarab's head from behind with their Power Swords.

The Blood Ravens carrying Melta Cannons had an easier time than those wielding Power Weapons.

They only needed the Servitors to harass the enemy up close before a single melta blast reduced the Scarab to a heap of scrap.

Korn held his Boltgun in one hand, firing precise shots that blew apart the heads of the Necron Warriors swarming around him.

But there were too many enemies.

The Librarians reacted with remarkable unanimity whenever an enemy managed to get close: they raised their hands, fell silent, then used their Force Staffs as power clubs to knock the Necrons' heads clean off.

Psychic lightning could produce only tiny arcs here, with no destructive power whatsoever.

Compared with the Blood Ravens, who numbered barely a hundred, the Aeldari suffered losses far more rapidly.

The Aspect Warriors skilled in melee could not withstand the Gauss Beams, while their ranged attacks proved pitifully weak against the Necrons.

With Lychguard commanding them, these Necron forces were not as sluggish as the enemies encountered elsewhere.

The Aeldari force of several hundred lost almost a third of its numbers within little more than ten minutes of the battle beginning.

The Howling Banshees' frenzied slaughter readily drew the Lychguard's attention.
