The Men of Iron had their own unique way of salvaging ship materials.
During the Federation Era, Men of Iron fleets had dedicated salvage ships equipped with multiple enormous Quantum Decomposers. These could gradually break down an entire ship into its constituent elements for storage, while plundering and absorbing its data and recording its attack methods and defensive characteristics to improve combat effectiveness.
Once the material storage units were fed into a Standard Construction Factory and loaded onto its production lines, they would soon be converted into more troops and sent into battle.
Lacking all that equipment, Iax could only use the most basic methods to process these metal deposits floating through space.
Fortunately, thanks to the weapons fitted to this batch of Automated Sentries, Iax was able to put all three available Transport Shuttles into operation.
The half-wrecked Dark Angels Cruiser Guilliman had given Iax contained only six usable Thunderhawks. After they were combined and rebuilt, they yielded just three Men of Iron Landing Craft.
