Statement

Today's first chapter caused quite a stir, so I'd like to issue an apology.

Many of you dear readers felt that introducing it without any buildup was too abrupt. My thinking was that, while the book was still new, I shouldn't pad things out and fob you off with filler. The synopsis also touched on it a little, so I introduced it directly. But I failed to account for the lack of buildup, and I offer three bows here in apology. This was my fault.

A member of the chat group suggested this to me. I thought it over at the time, and although it hadn't been part of my original plan, I felt I could write it, so I added it.

I also felt I could keep the plot under control, so I went ahead and wrote it. I hadn't expected such a huge reaction, though, so today I'm posting two extra chapters in a row as an apology.

I'm no longer a complete newbie, and I believe I can keep the rest of the story under control. Everything that needs addressing will be addressed later, and I'll finish the book without compromising on quality or quantity. Thank you, dear readers, for your continued attention and corrections. I hope to give you a good reading experience.
