The Hyuga Clan.
As one of Konoha's few remaining ancient clans, their estate was heavily guarded, making it nearly impossible for Commoners to approach.
Besides the essential guards, hidden sentries and patrols were stationed throughout the Main Family's Residence.
Especially after the massacre of the Uchiha Clan, the Hyuga Clan, another of Konoha's great clans, had strengthened its security considerably.
The Clan Head, Hyuga Hiashi, knew some of the inside story and spared no expense in assigning personnel to guard the clan.
With the Hyuga Clan's Byakugan granting them exceptional perception on top of all that, sneaking into their Residence was practically a fantasy, a fool's dream!
None of that applied to Naruto, however.
At that moment, only three people were in the Hyuga Clan head's study.
Hyuga Hiashi sat at his desk with his arms folded and a stern expression, facing his two daughters.
But his gaze wasn't on his daughters. Instead, he glowered at the person who had appeared behind them, suppressing his emotions. "What are you doing here?"
The sisters, Hinata Hyuga and Hanabi Hyuga, froze as well, then belatedly turned to look at the blond boy who had appeared behind them.
"Naruto-kun?"
"Ah, looks like I came at a bad time?"
Naruto awkwardly scratched the back of his head. Judging by the way Hiashi and his daughters looked, they had clearly been discussing something outsiders weren't meant to hear.
"Um, I just came to let Hinata know that Kakashi-sensei said to meet at the village gate at six the morning after tomorrow. We're heading out on a mission. That's all, so I'll just go..."
Having delivered the message, Naruto was about to leave immediately when Hyuga Hiashi suddenly stopped him.
"Never mind. It's good that you're here. We're all family, so sit down."
