"Sarutobi, you've misunderstood. We only came to get information out of him!"
"That's right. Homura and I only wanted to try to find out where Shisui Uchiha's remains were from Danzo. We never actually intended to let him go!"
The two Advisors hurried to explain, but the Third remained unmoved. He merely waved a hand, and a group of masked Anbu appeared behind him.
"Heh heh..." Danzo looked at the Third Hokage leading them and his two former colleagues, who were still trying to struggle, with a mocking smile. "Using me as bait? Sarutobi, do you really want us dead?"
"What—what are you doing?! How dare you! Let us go!"
Mitokado Homura and Koharu watched the Third walk past them without a glance, while the Anbu behind him restrained them outright, showing no regard for their status among Konoha's leadership.
"Sarutobi, what are you trying to do?!"
"Sarutobi, don't tell me you intend to take us down too..."
Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu were both shocked and furious, but no matter how they shouted at the figure in the Hokage Garb, he seemed not to hear them at all.
They had both served in the Second Hokage's personal guard, but after enjoying Konoha's peace for far too long, they no longer even had the reflexes to resist the Anbu. They only thought of talking their way out.
After all, they had always enjoyed the respect of everyone in Konoha. Since becoming the village's Advisors, when had either of them ever been treated like this?
The Third slowly approached the Prison, looked at Danzo, and answered only his question. "Not you. Us."
"Are you planning to...?" Looking into the Third's eyes, Danzo seemed to gradually understand something. He suddenly lunged toward the prison bars, glaring viciously at the Third's impassive face.
