The door suddenly burst open. Hidan turned his head and saw Ibiki Morino stride in menacingly, only to freeze the instant he laid eyes on him.
"What, never seen someone who's just a head before? Watch it, or I'll curse you to death!"
Indeed, Hidan was currently nothing but a head suspended from chains, though it had been flattened somewhat, as if something heavy had crushed it.
His features were squashed together, making his once rather handsome face look especially ridiculous.
There was also a conspicuous, crude seam down the middle of his face, and blood still dripped from his neck.
He looked like a freshly severed head hung up on display, yet he was still shouting at Ibiki Morino with plenty of vigor.
"This..."
Having never seen anything so bizarre, Ibiki Morino briefly lost his composure before immediately adopting the professional demeanor of Konoha's top interrogator. "Say that again. I dare you."
"Huh? Watch it, or I'll..."
Hidan had barely opened his mouth when Ibiki grabbed a spiked club from beside him and swung it straight into his face!
The blow left Hidan seeing stars.
"I have a short temper. Even if you're just a head, I can still deal with you..."
"That hurts! But it feels kind of good." Hidan's head, sent swinging wildly by the spiked club, suddenly let out a moan. "This vivid pain—ah, it feels so great not to be stuck inside a rock!"

Hidan's reaction left Ibiki Morino at a complete loss.
Inside a cave somewhere.
Several shimmering figures appeared in the cave, with nothing clearly visible beyond their eyes and human outlines.
They were members of the Akatsuki using the Magic Lantern Body Technique.
"Not everyone's here. Why did the leader call us together so suddenly?"
"I don't have time to
