Kazemori Masaki had never seen a tailed beast's berserk form before. Crimson chakra had completely eaten away Ginkaku's skin, and even his eyes seemed to have vanished, leaving only two hollows glowing white. He looked as though he could no longer see, yet Masaki distinctly felt a gaze settle on him.

Zhenghui sprinted without looking back, moving so fast that an ordinary person would have seen only a blur. Yet Ginkaku was faster still.

Hearing the rush of wind behind him, Masaki stopped running forward. He turned and swung his blade. With a bang, Ginkaku swatted him away as effortlessly as if he were swatting a mosquito.

But that was exactly what Masaki wanted. He had no intention of fighting Ginkaku in his current state. Whether he could win or not, staying here was simply asking to die, and he had no confidence that he could defeat Ginkaku anyway. He had deliberately met Ginkaku's attack to borrow his tremendous strength and send himself farther away.
