Ginkaku was briefly startled by the cold gleam of Wind Cutter, then sneered. "You think you can beat me just because you got a new ninja tool?"
"Do I even need to wonder?" Kazemori Masaki smiled faintly at his words. "Killing you couldn't be simpler."
Those few simple words conveyed utter contempt for Ginkaku. How could he not be furious? He gritted his teeth and demanded, "Who gave you that confidence?"
"It's not just me. Everyone else thinks so too. Why else do you think my teacher and companions agreed so readily when I asked to take you on alone?" Kazemori Masaki said.
Ginkaku froze for a moment. Indeed, when Kazemori Masaki had said he wanted to fight alone, the Second Hokage and the others had shown no concern. They had simply nodded and gone to deal with Kinkaku. Now that Kazemori Masaki had pointed it out, he realized the others hadn't taken him seriously either.
A little thought made the reason obvious. Ginkaku couldn't even use Ninjutsu. Although he could still use taijutsu, his fighting strength had dropped by at least half. Even with his nine-tails chakra, any member of the Second Hokage's escort was confident they could face him alone. He had only posed any real threat because Kinkaku was with him.
Now, however, Kinkaku was surrounded by the Second Hokage and the others, leaving only Ginkaku, who couldn't even use Ninjutsu. What was there to worry about in letting Kazemori Masaki, one of the escort's strongest members, handle him alone?
Once he realized this, Ginkaku felt utterly humiliated. They actually thought so little of him! And ultimately, it was all because of the man before him!
"Besides, do you really think you can still win?" Kazemori Masaki continued. "Look around. My teacher and companions have your brother
