The two rookie investigators climbed out through the vent. Just then, the windows shattered and the Supermarket's roller shutter collapsed under the Great Flood. Surging water slammed Gao Ming hard against a shelf.
Torrential rain, a breached embankment, flash floods—muddy water poured into the Supermarket from every direction, sweeping people along with it. Without the Flesh-and-Blood Ghost God, Gao Ming would already have been swallowed by the Great Flood.
"Gao! Grab my hand!" Zhang Ding tried to move toward Gao Ming, but the moment he turned, the ladder was knocked over by the Great Flood and came crashing down onto his shoulder.
Gritting his teeth, Zhang Ding reached for Gao Ming.
"Don't worry about me! Get yourself out first!" Gao Ming clutched his backpack. If he lost the other Posthumous Photographs, he would have no chance of surviving the nightmare.
Commanding the Flesh-and-Blood Ghost God, Gao Ming had Gong Xi steady the ladder. He pushed Zhang Ding onto it, and the two climbed toward the vent, one after the other.
The pitch-black vent was close, yet somehow seemed so far away. After Zhang Ding vanished from Gao Ming's sight, Gao Ming vaguely sensed that something was wrong.
There's no sound of wind or rain outside the vent. Does it really lead to the roof of the Supermarket?
