"Where was he taken?"
Gao Ming said nothing to Du Bai. He simply gave him a reassuring look, signaling for him to pay attention in class.
After the student in front of Gao Ming was taken away, the atmosphere in the classroom grew even tenser. The children focused all their attention on studying, forcing themselves not to be distracted by anything around them.
As he listened to the teacher's lecture, Gao Ming thought back over what had just happened.
The student who had been making trouble in the back row was different from the normal students. His uniform was old and did not fit very well. He seemed to be wearing a dead person's clothes.
Gao Ming reconstructed the scene in his mind. Just as he became absorbed in his thoughts, he suddenly heard a startled cry from upstairs!

Glancing out the window from the corner of his eye, Gao Ming happened to see a man nearing sixty plummeting from above.
The man wore a school uniform, his body pressed against the window, his face almost flattened against the glass. There was still a smile on his lips.
Du Bai, seated beside him, instinctively tried to look out the window, but Gao Ming pressed a hand onto his shoulder first.
"Don't look. Don't listen."
Several students in the classroom stopped paying attention to the lesson. They crowded around the window and looked outside.
"Someone jumped? How many does that make today?"
"It looked like he was pushed!"
"But if he was pushed, why was he smiling?"
"Yeah, I saw him smiling too!"
