The clear swimming pool was fast becoming a muddy swamp, with plastic bags and branches floating in it, along with pigs and sheep swept away by the flood.
A foul stench replaced the smell of disinfectant. The newly freed Vengeful Ghosts battered School Rules without restraint. Wherever the floodwaters flowed, they could reach.
The neighbors from the Supermarket looked as though they had caused trouble. Even more distraught than they were was the girl who had died beneath the pool. Her resentment had already been intense enough; now she had lost what little reason she had left.
Surfacing for air, Gao Ming discovered that the water from the pool had spread across the entire first floor of the activity rooms.
"Good grief!" He swore he hadn't done it on purpose. He had only taken the Supermarket group photograph underwater as a precaution. He hadn't communicated with Zhang Ding just now; the Supermarket owner had come out on his own because he felt sorry for the girl in the school uniform.
Honestly, everyone living in the Supermarket was a good person. Perhaps they had all felt that the uniformed girl's place was too lonely and hadn't wanted her to be so miserable.
Of course, their way of comforting her had been somewhat reckless.
"On the bright side, the School Rules' influence over the Activity Building seems to have been completely eliminated. No ghost can come here to enforce the rules now."
"On the downside..." Gao Ming looked around. His entire class and the School Swimming Team, who had been watching the spectacle, had all been swept away. Cries for help rang out everywhere.
The ropes had snapped in the flood, releasing the restrictions the pool had placed on the students. Everyone clung to whatever was nearby, barely managing to stay calm.
