Chen Mu briefly studied it. It was much like One-Click Alchemy, with a built-in catalog of its own.
The catalog contained every artifact-refining method in the Great Cang World, from its very first artifact refiner to the present day.
It could not have been more comprehensive!
From farm tools like hoes and sickles to divine artifacts rarely seen in the world, whose forging methods had been lost for ten thousand years, it had everything.
It felt as though he needed no other functions. This one alone could make him invincible beneath the heavens!
Even a low cultivation level would be nothing to fear with divine artifacts all over him. An enemy might block one, but could they block a hundred? A thousand? Ten thousand?
"I just thought, since you're such a genius in every other field, Cousin, maybe you'd be the same at artifact refining."
With that, Jiang Sheng drained the Enlightenment Tea in his cup.
"Cousin, what kind of tea is this? It tastes..."
He set down his cup, about to remark on how good the tea tasted.
Then his expression changed, and he cried out in wild delight, "I've got it! I've got it! Everything suddenly makes sense!"
"H-how did this happen?"
Chen Mu noticed Jiang Sheng looking at him, his face full of confusion and thirst for knowledge.
Glancing at the pot, Chen Mu explained, "This is called Enlightenment Tea. One cup, one epiphany."
"Heavens! There are actually tea leaves this miraculous in the world?" Jiang Sheng exclaimed in shock.
Cupping the teapot in both hands, he pleaded, "Cousin, could you give me this pot of tea?"
His reaction left Chen Mu speechless. "No matter what, I can't give you a pot of leftover tea."
Then he took out an Enlightenment Tea Cake, set it on the stone table, and pushed it toward Jiang Sheng. "Take it."
"So much?!" Jiang Sheng was dumbstruck.
"Cousin, you're so good to me! I love you!"
He was so excited that he stood up, walked over to Chen Mu, and threw his arms around him.
"All right, all right, I get it..." Chen Mu lightly patted Jiang Sheng's arm, worried that his excitement might make him squeeze the breath out of him.
[Enlightenment Tea Cake successfully gifted! Hundredfold rebate triggered. Congratulations, host! You have received Enlightenment Tea Cake +100!]
"Sorry, sorry." Jiang Sheng hurriedly released him and stepped back.
He accepted the Enlightenment Tea, his gratitude toward Chen Mu beyond words.
Then the Spatial Ring on his hand flashed.
A huge furnace appeared before them, along with some smithing tools.
"This isn't your Artifact Forging Hall," Chen Mu complained.
Jiang Sheng scratched his head with a grin. "I was just worried the inspiration would vanish in a blink, so I wanted to seize it while I could."
"Don't worry, Cousin. I won't damage a single flower or blade of grass in your courtyard."
Besides that, of course, he wanted Chen Mu to see his dashing figure as he refined an artifact and earn his approval.
"All right." Chen Mu lay back down and waved a hand, letting Jiang Sheng do as he pleased.
"Thanks, Cousin. Hehe." Jiang Sheng turned and began hammering metal. Sparks flew fiercely, making for quite an entertaining sight.
But then Chen Mu saw how the fierce firelight cast an orange-red glow over Jiang Sheng's entire body, while great beads of sweat rolled down his cheeks.
The instant they hit the ground, they evaporated.
Sure enough, Chen Mu still felt that One-Click Artifact Refining suited him better.
Perhaps because the scorching heat was unbearable, Jiang Sheng pulled aside his clothes, exposing his upper body.
Those muscles truly stunned Chen Mu.
A tiger's back and a bear's waist!
They formed a stark, striking contrast with Jiang Sheng's baby face.
There was even a faint, indescribable sense that something did not fit.
It was as though someone had forcibly pieced that head and body together.
Still, it was easy to see that Jiang Sheng truly loved artifact refining, throwing himself into it heart and soul.
"Cousin? Cousin?"
Hearing Jiang Sheng's voice beside his ear, Chen Mu groggily opened his eyes.
The monotonous, endlessly repetitive sight, coupled with the highly rhythmic hammering, had made him drowsy and lulled him to sleep.
"Did something go wrong?" Chen Mu sat up and asked.
"No, I finished it!" Jiang Sheng said excitedly.
"You finished it?"
While Chen Mu was still puzzled, Jiang Sheng took out a small, block-shaped wooden box with his blackened hands, which he had yet to wash.
He slid it open downward, revealing a long needle resting quietly inside.
It radiated an unsettling aura.
"What's this?" Confusion showed in Chen Mu's eyes.
"An Underworld Needle. Anyone struck by it, even someone in the Human Immortal Realm, will receive an invitation from King Yama and have no choice but to die!" Jiang Sheng explained.
An invitation from the King of the Underworld?!
Hearing those words, Chen Mu was certain this was good stuff.
"Cousin, you're not only powerful now, but also incredibly talented. Plenty of people will surely see you as a thorn in their side in the future. This Underworld Needle is for you to defend yourself." Jiang Sheng closed the lid and held it out.
"All right, thanks." Chen Mu did not refuse his kindness and accepted it naturally.
Chen Mu knew very well that accepting it would make Jiang Sheng happier than refusing.
"It's only right. I'm the one who should be thanking you for giving me such precious tea, Cousin." Jiang Sheng fidgeted bashfully, unable to hide his joy.
Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Chen Mu noticed a forging hammer on the ground, its head split open like a blooming flower.
A Heaven Rank forging hammer had actually been battered until it split and bloomed!
Chen Mu suddenly recalled that this younger cousin of his possessed innate superhuman strength.
It was already impressive that the forging hammer had lasted this long.
Noticing Chen Mu's gaze, Jiang Sheng turned to look and volunteered, "It's an old antique, and I've been refining a lot of artifacts lately, so it couldn't hold out."
"Luckily, it didn't delay the forging of the Underworld Needle."
"I see..." Chen Mu could not shake the feeling that Jiang Sheng had lost this forging hammer for his sake.
He would feel terrible if he did nothing.
He opened the system panel and switched to the One-Click Artifact Refining function.
Then he opened the catalog and filtered the results.
[Heavenfire Hammer]: Comes with its own heavenfire, allowing forging without an external fire. Artifact-refining success rate +30%!
He picked one at random.
Then he thought, System, can you get me some materials through a check-in?
[Of course!!]
The system seemed very excited.
It made sense. After all, he rarely took the initiative to ask it to do anything.
[Checking in...] [Check-in successful! Congratulations, host! You have received a gift pack of one hundred thousand artifact-refining materials!]
He found the materials and placed them in the artifact-refining furnace.
Then he clicked One-Click Artifact Refining!
[One-Click Artifact Refining in progress...] [One-Click Artifact Refining successful! Congratulations, host! You have received a top-grade Divine Rank forging hammer, Heavenfire Hammer +1!]
It's actually Divine Rank?
Chen Mu had not looked closely earlier. Once he saw that it was a forging hammer, he had simply selected it.
A top-grade Divine Rank artifact was actually his for the taking!
If the outside world learned of this, jaws would surely drop.
In the Great Cang World, a vast number of people would barely have a chance to see anything Saint Rank in their entire lives, let alone Divine Rank.
He switched to the system inventory, found the Heavenfire Hammer, and took it out.
It was considerably heavier than Chen Mu had imagined.
Boom!!!
The moment he took it out, fierce flames surged from the hammer like ocean waves, spreading in every direction.
Hot! Hotter than the blazing sun overhead!
If it had not been for Jiang Sheng, Chen Mu would never have taken this thing out. He would have sealed it away in the system inventory forever.
"Cousin, th-this is?!"
