Organization & Strength
The Hall’s initial strength is described by a captured Qi Refining disciple whose father distributes cultivation resources. Its later deployment reveals substantially greater numbers and stronger assassins than this account suggests 16 33.
| Rank | Initially Reported Strength | Later Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Hall Master | Primordial Spirit Realm 16. | Hall Master Li negotiates with Lin Nantian and remains at the Hall after the mountain confrontation 25 42. |
| Deputy Hall Master | Primordial Spirit Realm 16. | Confirmed at the seventh layer; personally directs the final killing formation 36 38. |

| Elite Assassins | Mostly Essence Condensation Realm 16. | Hundreds of Foundation Establishment assassins participate in the Earth Dragon Mountain defenses 34 36. |
| Ordinary Disciples | Qi Refining or Body Tempering Realm 16. | The low-ranking members interrogated by Qin do not know the headquarters’ location 16. |
- Membership: The Deputy Hall Master states that the Hall has only a few hundred members, making the loss of forty or fifty assassins a serious blow 26.
- Standing in Xuantian City: Qin judges its actual strength to exceed that of the first-rate Lin Lineage; only ranked lineages of earth grade or above might compare 33.
- Deployment scale: The Deputy Hall Master takes more than half of the Hall’s top experts into the Underground Cavern 42.
Operating Practices
- Client anonymity: Members are instructed not to ask who commissioned a killing; their business is to kill and collect payment 14.
- Realm-based pricing: Assassination fees depend on the target’s cultivation. Reclassifying Qin from Purple Mansion to Primordial Spirit could multiply the price several hundredfold 24.
- Extortion and false proof: The Deputy Hall Master plans to claim Qin is dead using only his identity token—or no evidence—despite Hall Master Li promising to deliver Qin’s head 25.
- Coercive searches: During the cavern manhunt, members are ordered to investigate unfamiliar cultivators and prolific demon hunters, killing anyone who refuses to cooperate 19.
- Selective restraint: The Hall avoids investigating disciples of major sects it cannot afford to offend 19.
- Internal intimidation: Hall Master Li kills a returning assassin for reporting Qin’s unexpected strength, then conceals his mistake by declaring that the man died fighting for the Hall 42.
Abilities & Tactics
Surveillance and Manhunts
- Guards all six exits from Demon God Valley’s Underground Cavern to prevent Qin’s escape 19.
- Circulates portraits and offers public rewards, drawing outside cultivators into the search 16 19.
- Connects a previously unknown potbellied demon hunter to Qin’s disguise after investigators find demon blood but no corpses 19.
- Uses concealed followers to track suspected targets, though Qin detects and kills one such group 26.
Linked Ambushes
The Hall pairs visible killing formations with hidden assassins, using the concealed attacker to strike after a target survives the overt attack 32 33.
- Witnesses describe this combination as having almost never failed over the years 33.
- The second mountain checkpoint conceals a Purple Mansion Realm assassin behind a twelve-man Foundation Establishment formation 33.
- Qin defeats both layers of the first ambush and destroys the second checkpoint in a single strike 32 33.
Killing Formations
| Formation / Deployment | Composition and Capabilities | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Earth Dragon Mountain defenses | Sixteen killing formations arranged along the summit route, with visible checkpoints and concealed assassins 29 31. | Qin destroys the first two trials, prompting the remaining checkpoint forces to regroup 33 34. |
| First checkpoint formation | Twelve Foundation Establishment elites combine their power into Purple Mansion-level attacks. Witnesses say this formation previously killed a late-stage Purple Mansion cultivator 31 32. | Its strongest attack leaves only a temporary white mark on Qin’s arm; he kills all twelve operators 32. |
| Seven-array combination | Mid-grade Earth-rank array formed by more than a hundred Foundation Establishment assassins and ten Purple Mansion elders and guardians. Its strongest attack manifests as a massive blood saber 34 35 36. | Qin’s Heaven and Earth Furnace swallows the saber and refines every operator 35 36. |
| Nine-array combination | High-grade Earth-rank array containing 132 Foundation Establishment and twelve Purple Mansion assassins, directed by the seventh-layer Primordial Spirit Deputy Hall Master 36. | Destroyed by Qin’s Hand of Heaven, along with its commander and remaining force 39 40. |
Nine-Star God-Slaying Blade
The final array draws stellar killing energy from nine stars. The Deputy Hall Master gathers that energy and the formation’s power through his Primordial Spirit to unleash the blade 38.
- Fang Han estimates its attack rivals a mid-stage Myriad Phenomena Realm expert’s strike 39.
- Its killing aura slaughters nearby spectators and several Xuantian Holy Land disciples before the direct confrontation is resolved 38 39.
- Qin’s Hand of Heaven severs its connection to the stars and crushes it 39 40.
History
Contract Against Qin Wuyou
After learning of Lin Hu’s death and Qin’s apparent Purple Mansion strength, Lin Nantian hires Seven Kills Hall to assassinate Qin before he returns to Xuantian Holy Land 13.
In the Underground Cavern, Hall members argue that Qin’s lost cultivation makes him safe to target. They incorrectly claim that he is no longer Holy Son and assume the Holy Land would welcome his death. Their leader nevertheless orders them to wait for the Deputy Hall Master before engaging him 14.
Qin overhears the discussion, identifies the Lin Lineage as the likely client, and attacks the group. He kills Boss Li, interrogates the remaining disciples, and executes them after failing to obtain the headquarters’ location. Beside their bodies, he carves “The killer: Qin Wuyou!” 15 16.
Cavern Manhunt and Inflated Fees
The Deputy Hall Master responds with a public reward of one hundred taels of gold for information about Qin. Qin initially avoids the Primordial Spirit opponent and changes his appearance using the Bone-Transposition Disguise Art 16 17.
The search expands throughout the cavern. Evidence of a mysterious demon hunter leads the Deputy Hall Master to identify Qin’s potbellied disguise, and the reward for locating that figure is doubled 19.
After discovering the aftermath of Qin’s powerful palm strike, the Deputy Hall Master labels the attacker a Primordial Spirit Realm Qin to justify a higher fee. He orders the search slowed until the Lin Lineage agrees to pay. Hall Master Li exploits Lin Nantian’s fear that Qin has restored his dantian and secures agreement to the increased price 24 25.
Qin subsequently kills another forty or fifty followers and again leaves his name at the scene. The Deputy Hall Master declares that the conflict will not end until one side is dead 26.
Earth Dragon Mountain
After completing the first transformation of his God and Devil Tyrant Body, Qin openly challenges the Hall. The Deputy Hall Master summons him to Earth Dragon Mountain’s Life-and-Death Platform, where cliffs, abysses, formations, and concealed assassins are intended to cut off his retreat 28 29.
Qin arrives at the tenth heaven of Foundation Establishment and deliberately confronts the defenses rather than bypassing them. After he destroys the first two checkpoints, the Deputy Hall Master concentrates the remaining checkpoint forces into a seven-array combination. Qin traps and refines them in his furnace, then advances to Purple Mansion Realm 31 33 34 35 36 37.
The Deputy Hall Master activates the stronger nine-array formation and reveals that the spectators must also die to prevent news of the Hall’s humiliation from spreading. Qin crushes the Nine-Star God-Slaying Blade, destroys the Deputy Hall Master’s Primordial Spirit, and kills the remaining mountain force 38 39 40.
Aftermath
Refining the fallen assassins provides Qin with blood essence, vital energy, soul power, and a large quantity of fortune power. His accumulated fortune power totals over a thousand strands afterward 40 41.
The organization is not wholly destroyed. Returning assassins reach Hall Master Li in Xuantian City with reports of Qin’s extraordinary combat strength. After initially killing one messenger in disbelief, Li accepts corroborating testimony and orders one thousand taels in compensation for the dead man’s family 42.
Qin subsequently identifies Seven Kills Hall and the Lin Lineage as targets for further plundering of fortune power 42.
