Early the next morning, Wen Ning was woken by Big Yellow's tail.
The furry tail swatted back and forth across his face twice. Damn, that hurt—even more than getting hit by LaBula Pig.
Wen Ning opened his eyes groggily, moved Big Yellow's tail off his face, then quickly rolled out of bed.
Big Yellow looked distinctly unhappy when Wen Ning moved his tail away.
But Wen Ning had no time to deal with Big Yellow. He had things to do today.
Yesterday, he had traveled all over the Three Realms, from Buddha Tathagata to Sun Wukong to Kṣitigarbha Bodhisattva. Each of those three big shots had handed him a riddle.
It had taken him an entire night to piece the answers together. Now he had the answer in his head.
But that answer brought a new question: Tang Sanzang was right beside Wang Manman, but where exactly was he? How could she have failed to find him after all these years?
As usual, Wen Ning channeled his magical power and went straight to the university.
He spotted Wang Manman from a distance.
She was still sitting on the stone bench in the Pavilion.
A question suddenly occurred to Wen Ning. Unable to contain his curiosity, he asked her.
"Do you spend all day here? Don't you get bored?"
Wang Manman looked up at him and nodded.
"Yes. Apart from classes, I spend pretty much all day here. There aren't many people around, and it's quiet. Reading never gets boring."
Wen Ning glanced around. There was the Old Library, with an old phoenix tree beside it.
"Did you find anything?"
Wang Manman's voice pulled Wen Ning out of his brainstorming.
"I went to Spirit Mountain yesterday and met Buddha Tathagata."
