Just as Randall was about to grasp the hilt, his Conqueror's Haki suddenly surged into the sky.
Then clarity returned to his eyes.
He shook his head. Once he realized what was happening, he immediately straightened up and took a step back, staring at the sinister blade with lingering dread.
A moment earlier, he had felt irresistibly drawn to the blade, as though obtaining it would give him everything he wanted.
Fortunately, he had suddenly snapped out of it at the last moment. Otherwise, he might have become another Swordsman.
Just look at how Swordsman had ended up. He had barely looked human when he died.

Although Randall knew nothing about swords, nor what a Cursed Sword should look like,
the moment he saw this blade, he knew it was exactly what a Cursed Sword ought to be.
