Randall said calmly,
"It's not a question of whether you believe it. Sky Island exists!"
Kurik froze at his words.
"H-how is that possible? How could something so unimaginable exist?"
Randall waved a hand and said impatiently,
"Enough. I didn't come here to argue about something so pointless.
I just want to know where the knock up stream will appear, and exactly when!
As payment, I can take you along and let you see this Sky Island you claim doesn't exist."
Kurik's heart jolted. He felt as though a bolt of lightning had shot from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.
"Are you serious?"
"I don't know whether I'm serious. All I know is that if you keep wasting my time, things will end very, very badly for you!"
Randall sneered as he spoke.
Kurik suddenly felt a chill wash over him and couldn't help shivering.
"I know the knock up stream very well! Nobody understands the knock up stream better than me!
And your timing is perfect. The next one is tomorrow!"
Randall inwardly breathed a sigh of relief.
His luck was pretty good after all.
"By the way, the ship needs modifications to ride the knock up stream, right?
I'll leave that to you!"
Randall said.
Kurik was baffled. Why does it feel like you know the procedure better than I do?
An hour later, when he saw the boat Randall had moored by the shore, he sank into thought.
He suspected Randall was deliberately trying to get him killed...
After a moment of silence, he said,
"Uh, are you serious?"
Randall nodded as though it were obvious. "Of course I'm serious. Is there a problem?"

"No, look at this tiny wreck of a boat!
