After hearing Gan Fall's words, Randall stared hard at him.
He said nothing, just stared.
His stare gave Gan Fall the creeps.
What the hell was this silence supposed to mean?!
Was he satisfied or not?! Just fucking say something, you bastard!
After a long while, just as Gan Fall reached the limits of his patience and was about to explode, Randall finally spoke.
And what he said nearly made Gan Fall choke on his pent-up frustration.
"Since you're being so sincere, let's put this matter behind us.
But I have one more condition. I want a map of Sky Island.
Specifically, a map showing the way to Birka!"
Randall had intended to ask Gan Fall for a map from the start.
He had simply happened upon this incident and taken advantage of it.
Gan Fall was visibly taken aback by Randall's request.
Still, he asked no questions and agreed outright.
Once he had the map, Randall left without any hesitation.
He left Kurik, who was still sprawled helplessly on the ground, and Gan Fall staring at each other.
Oh, and a horse.
"So, you two aren't together?"
Gan Fall spoke after a moment of silence.
Kurik merely gave him an awkward but polite smile.
"Of course we are. Why else would he go out of his way to bring me here?"
Meanwhile, he cursed Randall thousands upon thousands of times in his mind.
That bastard! What the hell was he thinking, leaving me with someone I was fighting just a few minutes ago?!
Gan Fall copied Randall's earlier behavior, saying
