Shinichi walked along a path through the compound. Today felt distinctly different-he was about to convene an important clan meeting to discuss its future development and the next stage of reform.
As the Uchiha Clan Head, Shinichi bore increasingly heavy responsibilities, but that did not stop him from enjoying the time he spent with his fellow clan members each day.
Today, instead of entering the council hall with his usual serious air, he strolled leisurely through the compound, preparing to train with the younger members. His particular focus today was his "little fan," fourteen-year-old Uchiha Fugaku.

"Lord Shinichi!" Fugaku ran over excitedly, a brilliant smile spreading across his face. "Are we training today?"
"Yes. Today, we'll focus on tactical positioning and ninjutsu combinations." Shinichi smiled faintly. Although his position meant that many now addressed him as clan head, his close relationship with Fugaku kept him from feeling any distance between them.
On the contrary, seeing Uchiha Fugaku as he was now filled Shinichi with quiet satisfaction-this was precisely the change he had hoped for.
